Dr. Rebecca J. Etheridge, EdD, is an Associate Professor and Curriculum Specialist in the Family and Community Medicine Department at the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) at Augusta University. As an Ultrasound Educator with extensive expertise in curriculum development, she focuses on competency-based education. Dr. Etheridge is a proud MCG alumna, holding a Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (1993) and a Master of Health Education (2001). She earned her Doctorate in Education with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction from Augusta University in 2019.
With 29 years of teaching experience, Dr. Etheridge has educated many learners, including undergraduate sonography students, medical students, residents, fellows, and practicing physicians. She is actively developing competency-based objectives and evaluation methods for the Family and Community Medicine Residency Program. Additionally, Dr. Etheridge serves as the Clerkship and Enrichment Support Manager for the Curriculum Section of the MCG Office of Academic Affairs, where she manages essential curriculum processes, including USMLE Score Reports and Subject Exam Reports for medical students.
