Kevin Piro is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and the Director of the General Medicine Ultrasound Fellowship and Internal Medicine Ultrasound Education at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. He is a native Pacific Northwesterner who completed his medical training in Houston before returning to Portland for his Internal Medicine Residency at OHSU. He subsequently completed a General Medicine Ultrasound Fellowship at OHSU in 2017 and subsequently stayed on as a Hospitalist with the Division of Hospital Medicine and an Urgent Care Provider with the Division of General Internal Medicine. He directs the General Medicine Ultrasound Fellowship, in addition to Internal Medicine Ultrasound Education at OHSU. Nationally, he works with multiple national societies building curriculum, providing training, and advancing POCUS within internal medicine.
