Kam is the ultrasound supervisor in the division of Maternal Fetal Medicine at the University of Florida. She is also an adjunct assistant professor at Santa Fe College. She has dedicated her career to educating learners at all levels; fellows, residents, sonographers, medical and sonography students.

She has held numerous positions in various acedemic environments and has functioned as the lead MFM sonographer for over 10 years, with over 20 years experience in high risk obstetrics, fetal echocardiography and advanced gynecologic ultrasound. She has lead multiple research projects related to sonography with numerous publications.

Kam has been the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions related to teaching, customer service and leadership. In 2024 she was selected to receive the University of Florida's Superior Achievement Award.
