Medical Student
The Ohio State University College of Medicine
Columbus, United States
Karlee Schultz is a fourth-year medical student at The Ohio State University College of Medicine (OSUCOM). Throughout her medical education, she has been an active member of the Ultrasound Student Interest Group (USIG), the largest student-run, faculty-advised organization at OSUCOM, which has developed an extracurricular ultrasound education curriculum for medical students. Karlee has taken on various leadership roles within USIG, and notably, she spearheaded the creation of a Pediatric Ultrasound Community of Practice (COP) in response to the lack of a dedicated group for this specialty. Her exposure to ultrasound has deeply shaped her perspective on its value as an essential imaging tool. This experience has sparked her passion for both utilizing and teaching ultrasound, and she is eager to incorporate it into her future career as she transitions into residency.
