Karen Nussbaumer is the founder of the Center for Ultrasound Research and Education (CURE) and the Academy of Diagnostic and Osteopathic Medicine (ADOM). A dedicated educator, astrobiologist, and scientist, Karen’s mission is to empower people to take control of their healthcare decisions through education and research. Her work focuses on advancing non-radiative diagnostic methods, and uncovering the fundamental biological mechanisms behind disease.
Karen has been a faculty instructor at UCSD School of Medicine and is one of only 200 of Harvard Medical School's Harvard Global Healthcare Leaders worldwide. She is pioneering the integration of advanced ultrasound mastery methods into medical education and reshaping the future of diagnostic medicine.
Among her proudest accomplishments are training thousands of sonographers and medical professionals in cutting-edge diagnostic techniques, expanding access to diagnostics. Karen continues to inspire and equip individuals with the knowledge to make informed healthcare decisions.
