Ted Lynch is the Product Manager for Ultrasound and MRI phantoms at Sun Nuclear Corporation, a Mirion Medical Company. He recently assumed this position after serving as Vice President of Business Development at CIRS, Inc., from 2019 – 2021, and he served as Engineering Manager, Nonionizing Products, at CIRS from 2011-2019.Ted came to CIRS after nine years as a research scientist at Luna Innovations, a small R&D firm headquartered in Roanoke, Virginia. While at Luna, Ted was the technical product manager for the EDAC Quantifier, an ultrasonic device for detecting gaseous microemboli in cardiopulmonary bypass machines and he served as principal investigator on Phase II SBIR research contracts with the DoD and NIH. Ted received his PhD in Applied Science at the College of William and Mary in 2001, and he taught at Menyamya High School in Papua New Guinea as a Peace Corps Volunteer from 1996 to 1998. Ted also holds a B.A. in English literature from the College of William and Mary, and an M.S. in Applied Physics from George Mason University.
