Dr. Denise Fraga, MD, MPA is the Ultrasound Fellowship Director and an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Carolinas (CMC) Emergency Medicine Residency Program in Charlotte, North Carolina. She completed her EM residency at the University of Maryland in Baltimore and an ultrasound fellowship at Vanderbilt Medical Center. She also completed her Certification in Critical Care Echocardiography (CCEeXAM). Her academic interests include point-of-care echo, ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia, and education. She teaches POCUS in Guatemala through a collaboration with the emergency medicine residency program in Guatemala City and the pediatric residency program in Escuintla, Guatemala. Dr. Fraga has also worked internationally in Colombia, Rwanda, Lesotho, and Guyana.
