Michael Shalaby is the Director of Ultrasound Research in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. His primary research focus is the innovation of regional anesthesia in the emergency department. His work boasts numerous publications on novel uses of regional anesthesia, and he will be the senior editor of the first textbook on emergency department regional anesthesia.
