Dr. Divya Saikumar is a final year resident in the Department of Imaging and Interventional Radiology in KIMSHEALTH hospital, Thiruvananthapuram, India. She has completed her medical education at Amrita School of Medicine, Kochi, India in the year 2021 with distinction in 8 subjects and has won the Gold medal in the subjects of Pharmacology and Paediatrics. During her residency, she has worked with various modalities like fluoroscopy, radiography, ultrasound, CT, MRI and PET. She had good exposure to ultrasonography of various body parts including head and neck, breast, abdomen, antenatal scans and Doppler during her period of training. Her research on the role of maternal ophthalmic artery Doppler in the prediction of pre-eclampsia as part of her thesis during residency has won accolades in various National and International conferences including the "Best paper award" in the National conference of Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (IRIA) and "Cum Laude" award for best poster in the European Congress of Radiology, 2024 held in Vienna, Austria. She has developed a special interest in antenatal and women's imaging during her residency and would like to pursue a subspecialty fellowship in this area.
