Jeffrey A. Kramer, MD, MSc is a Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine and the Director of the Clinical Ultrasound Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. He developed the point-of-care ultrasound program for the Emergency Department at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in 2005 and serves as Director of Emergency Ultrasound there.
Jeff received his medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania/Hahnemann University and completed his Emergency Medicine residency there. Jeff has been active in global health for more than a decade, currently serving as medical director for the International Needs Ghana Medical Mission. This project runs mobile medical clinics in rural areas in Ghana with little or no access to healthcare. Jeff received a Master of Science in Infectious Diseases from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine to augment his work abroad. He is an avid distance runner, triathlete, and enjoys travelling and skiing with his family.
