Dr. Daniel Nassar is a fellowship-trained minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon (MIGS) with a focused clinical and research interest in advanced gynecologic ultrasound, pelvic pain, and endometriosis. He completed his medical school at A. T. Still Univerisity School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona, followed by residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University at Buffalo. He is currently completing his MIGS fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he has been actively involved in advancing clinical ultrasound applications for the evaluation and management of complex gynecologic conditions.
Dr. Nassar has received advanced training in gynecologic ultrasound and collaborates closely with internationally recognized leaders in the field, including Dr. Mathew Leonardi of McMaster University. His research portfolio includes work on ultrasound-based diagnosis of endometriosis and integration of sonographic findings into surgical planning.
In addition to his clinical and academic endeavors, Dr. Nassar holds a Master of Public Health and has experience in community-based research. He is passionate about health equity and representation in academic medicine, particularly within the field of complex gynecology.
He is an active member of multiple professional societies, including the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM). Dr. Nassar is committed to advancing the role of ultrasound in gynecology through interdisciplinary collaboration, education, and innovation.
