Mai Elfarnawany is the Vice President of Engineering at Flosonics Medical, where she leads a team of engineers and data scientists in developing cutting-edge healthcare technologies. With a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Western University, a PMP certification, and her PEng designation, Mai blends academic expertise with industry leadership.
At Flosonics, she has played a pivotal role in developing Flopatch, the first wireless wearable Doppler ultrasound device, transforming patient care through real-time blood flow assessment. Her leadership spans software, hardware, DevOps, and data engineering, with a focus on creating innovative solutions that improve clinician workflows and patient outcomes.
Mai is also a strong advocate for women in STEM, promoting diversity and inclusion in the tech industry. She is passionate about fostering collaborative teams and building systems that empower individuals to grow, excel, and contribute meaningfully to their work.
