Marla Lujan is an Associate Professor in the Division of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell University (Ithaca, New York). She received her Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Physiology from Queen's University (Kingston, Ontario) and conducted her postdoctoral studies in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Saskatchewan (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan). Her research program focuses on the interplay of nutrition, metabolism and ovarian function, with translational research efforts geared toward improving the diagnosis and management of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). As a member of the International PCOS Guideline Development Group, her group led the evidence synthesis that underpins current recommendations on the use of ultrasonography in the evaluation of PCOS.
