I started my educational journey in San Diego, CA, completed my undergraduate and graduate studies in CO at Colorado State University, finished medical school in AZ at Midwestern University, and finally adventured to TX for my EM residency and ultrasound fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
I am currently the Director of Clinical Ultrasound at Baylor University Medical Center and the Ultrasound Director for the BUMC Emergency Medicine Residency Program. I also serve as the Division Chief for the Division of Advanced Emergency Ultrasound and help with medical student education as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medical Education at the Texas A&M School of Medicine.
My academic interests center on delivering high quality and interactive POCUS education for medical students and residents, ultrasound quality improvement processes and regional anesthesia. Outside of the emergency department, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband and two chilldren, playing pickleball and hanging out with my friends.
