Dr. Phillip Steele specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal abnormalities throughout the body. In this session, Dr. Steele will provide an in depth discussion of the normal ultrasound anatomy of the erector spinae musculature and how to utilize ultrasound to evaluate these muscles for pathology. This unique session combines a didactic lecture with live ultrasound demonstration of the technique to maximize the impact for the learner and translate knowledge to practical clinical applications.

Learning Objectives:

  • describe the normal erector spinae anatomy
  • perform targeted ultrasound of erector spinae structures
  • recognize ultrasound abnormalities in erector spinae structures
