Learning Objectives:

  • Gain a perspective on the emerging fields of wearable ultrasound and at home ultrasound and be able to describe what they include.
  • Develop a basic understanding of the new technologies that support wearable and at home ultrasound such as flexible transducer arrays, interactive remote telecommunications and image guidance and interpretation.
  • Examine some of the challenges in these new technologies such as biosafety, image quality, training, remote or assisted diagnosis, monitoring and stimulation.
